Very-early hybrid data are reported in Tables 4 and 5. These were only planted in the Tidewater region. Statewide data for early, medium, and late maturity groups for 2009 are presented in Tables 9, 13 and 17; multi-year, statewide data are reported in Tables 6, 10 and 14 for early, medium and full-season hybrids. Multi-year data for Coastal Plain locations are found in Tables 8, 11 and 15; multi-year data for the Tidewater location are found in Tables 4, 7, 12 and 16. Yields averaged 92.4 bu/a at Bertie county for late hybrids to 210.9 bu/a at Lenoir county for late hybrids. Overall it was a good year for corn production in North Carolina.
